For this round trip to Singapore, Boyfie is the one who made all the travel planning and itinerary. When he showed me the itinerary, I asked him why you wan go all the way to eat chicken rice? Malaysia chicken rice not enuf? He insisted that he must try this Tian Tian Hainanese chicken rice which he had read from couple of blog review is the best chicken rice in Singapore. Hmm..doubtful...till you continue to read the remaining first... :-)
The very first day after we touched down in Singapore, we headed to Chinatown directly to look for this chicken rice to satisfy boyfie's wish.
There are several Tian Tian chicken rice outlets and the one we went to is in the Maxwell Food Centre. It was terribly hot weather to find this food court..but alas, by asking around some folks in Chinatown and also the Visitor Information Centre in front of the Chinatown Complex Food Centre, we finally found it!

Here comes my Hainanese chicken rice |
I'm not sure is it I'm v hungry or this chicken rice is indeed very delicious..the rice itself is damn good and v flavorful to enjoy even on its own. One bite on the steamed chicken..its silky smooth and tender..yummmmmmy!!! Worth my effort to walk under hot sun to try this out!
And amazingly, they still able to maintain the taste so good despite having several outlets already. And I read from the Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice website, its indeed a salute to Madam Foo Kui Lian from starting with a small stall and growing it to a big brand:
Growing the business from an unknown stall all the way to one of the
most recognized and best venues for Hainanese Chicken Rice in
Singapore is Madam Foo Kui Lian. Who
still presides over the quality of the food at all three outlets with a
watchful and experienced eye even though she is beyond the age where
most retired.
For those who have not try this even you have been to Singapore zillion times, you must try this out..else you miss out the best chicken rice in Singapore la! And the most shocking part is..it only cost SGD3.50 for just a plate of superduperlicious chicken rice! *jaw almost drop*
