Okie..too much of Korea travel post lately. I will blog now on the preparation bit for those preparing to visit Korea.

1. Visa-Free Entry to Korea for Malaysian up to 3 months

2. Exchange Korean Won
Exchange your money with Korean Won first. Dun take the risk to exchange that in the Seoul airport, altho you can do that but the rates is not the best one. Or you can exchange RM to USD at Malaysia as some big shops do accept USD too. Refer this link to have an idea of the average price list of goods in Korea.
3. Electricity & Voltage in Korea
Prepare the correct travel adapter to charge your camera and hand phone!

- Standard Voltage: 100-110V (2 round pin plug)
- Outlet has 2 round holes
4. Time difference : + 01 hour ahead
5. Print discount vouchers
As part of Visit Korea campaign 2010-2012, all foreign travelers are offered with a wealth of discount vouchers which you need to print out online first and buy from the participating shop outlet. You will be entitle 5-10% discounts on even normal items!
Girls who are fans of Korean beauty items, there are some participating outlets like Etude House, TonyMoly, The Face Shop, Nature Republic, Missha, Hanskin and Innisfree.
6. Roaming and Data Plan
For DIGI and Celcom subscribers, sorry..I do not have the information about the roaming and data plan rates. I'm Maxis subscriber all this while.
Pick up calls in Korea: RM3.40/min
Call back from Korea to Malaysia (Using *120*6xxx#): RM 4/min
SMS: RM 1/sms
Data Plan (Using SK Telekom only):
- 1 day -> RM33
- 3 days -> RM88
- 5 days -> RM133
