King Ping Tea Restaurant, Taipei

Our tour plan originally was to have Local Taiwanese Cuisine lunch in Puppet Theater Restaurant (Refer my post here about this restaurant). However, due to unforeseen reasons unable to book the master of puppet show around that time to enjoy our lunch while watching the show, our lunch meal was changed to have Siew Long Pao at King Ping Tea Restaurant, Taipei. I thought that Din Tai Fung is always the famous siew long pao restaurant in Taipei, but according to our tour guide..is no longer so...

King Ping Tea Restaurant
I supposed he is the famous chef of this restaurant?
I really had too much of siew long pao here..din know so many varieties one. I can't recall what's the name of each of it dee..you all just guess la from the photos :-P

We also had fried rice, sweet and sour soup and also..there is kinda special cake, think is called "steamed chinese style layer cake". Personally I dun really like it altho it has lotsa of red beans..but Jen luvs it.

Overall I think the food here is not bad to try out varieties of siew long pao, some with vege and some with pork. Recommended to try out this restaurant since we have Din Tai Fung already rite in Malaysia, so should try different one. Environment wise, this restaurant is nice..looks clean and classy but its quite packed with ppl. The price for each basket of siew long pao is about NT$200+ (~RM20+).
